Usage
Pyrrolidine, also known as tetrahydropyrrole, is a colorless to slightly yellow liquid with a pungent ammonia odor. It emits smoke in the air and is toxic. Relative density 0.8618, boiling point 88-89 ℃, refractive index 1.4402 (28 ℃). Strong alkalinity, miscible with water, soluble in ethanol, ether, chloroform. Pyrrolidine can be synthesized by catalytic hydrogenation. Pyrrolidine is a natural substance found in tobacco and carrot leaves. Its molecular structure is a cyclic secondary amine, and its reaction is the same as that of typical amines. Pyrrolidine is an important organic chemical raw material that can be used to prepare drugs, fungicides, insecticides, etc.
