Lactobionic acid has various uses in the chemical industry, mainly including the following aspects:

1. Cosmetics and Skin Care Products: Lactobionic acid is commonly used in the production of beauty and skin care products. It has the functions of moisturizing, exfoliating, and anti-aging. It can reduce the cohesive force between the cells of the stratum corneum of the skin, accelerate the shedding of stratum corneum cells, promote skin metabolism, increase the moisture content of the skin, enhance skin elasticity, and has a certain wrinkle-removing effect.

2. Pharmaceutical Intermediates: Lactobionic acid also has applications in the medical field and is often used as a pharmaceutical intermediate.
