Homosalate, also known as protomembranous dispersion ester, is a typical salicylic acid type ultraviolet absorbent. Its chemical name is 3,3,5-trimethylcyclohexyl salicylate, which can absorb UVB295 ~ 31Chemicalbook 5nm ultraviolet light. It has been approved by the US FDA, Europe, Japan and Australia to be used as sunscreen chemicals to protect the skin from UVB radiation damage. It is widely used in sunscreen, toner and other cosmetics and clothing fabrics
