Usage
Dioctyl terephthalate (DOTP) is a main plasticizer with excellent performance for polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastics. Compared with the commonly used diisooctyl phthalate (DOP), it has the advantages of heat resistance, cold resistance, difficult volatilization, anti-extraction, softness, and good electrical insulation properties. It shows excellent durability, soap water resistance and low temperature softness in products. Due to its low volatility, the use of DOTP can fully meet the temperature resistance grade requirements of wires and cables, and can be widely used in cable materials resistant to 70 ° C (IEC standard of the International Electrotechnical Commission) and other PVC soft products.
In addition to a large number of plasticizers for cable materials and PVC, DOTP can also be used in the production of artificial leather films. In addition, DOTP has excellent phase solubility and can also be used as plasticizers for acrylonitrile derivatives, polyethylene, alcohol butyraldehyde, nitrile rubber, nitrocellulose, etc. It can also be used as plasticizers for synthetic rubber, coating additives, precision instrument lubricants, lubricant additives, and softeners for paper.
