As an intermediate in organic synthesis.

Used as a solvent and also in organic synthesis

Used as a plasticizer, special solvent, etc

Due to its good compatibility with polyvinyl chloride, vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer, polyvinyl butyral, nitrocellulose, butyl acetate fiber, etc., it is often used as a plasticizer for vinyl resin fiber resins and synthetic rubber. This product has low viscosity, good cold resistance but poor durability. It can also be used for nitrocellulose coatings.

Colorless and transparent liquid. Melting point -37.5℃, boiling point 305℃, 183℃ (1.86kPa), relative density 0.9652 (20/4℃), refractive index 1.4369. Soluble in ether and ethanol, insoluble in water.
