Usage
Bisphenol A diallyl ether can undergo Claisen rearrangement to form diallyl bisphenol A under high temperature or catalyst conditions. Diallyl bisphenol A is an excellent modifier for bismaleimide (BMI) resin, which can significantly reduce the application cost of BMI resin and improve the operability and processability of BMI resin. BMI resin is widely used in aviation, aerospace, machinery, electronics and other industries due to its excellent performance, and the usage is very large. In addition, bisphenol A diallyl ether can also be applied to adhesives on the surface of semiconductor wafers, photoresist materials, impact-resistant prepregs, molding of fiber-reinforced structural parts, high-temperature and chemical corrosion-resistant composite materials, etc. Therefore, bisphenol A diallyl ether has great commercial development value.
Mainly used as a crosslinking agent for epoxy resins
Bisphenol A diallyl ether is used in high-end application technologies, including adhesives for semiconductor wafer surfaces, photoresist materials, impact-resistant prepregs, forming of fiber-reinforced structural parts, mixed materials for high temperature and chemical corrosion protection, high temperature coating, waterproof, anti-corrosion and other functions
Bisphenol A diallyl ether is an important organic synthesis intermediate, mainly used as a cross - linking agent for epoxy resins. Currently, most methods for synthesizing bisphenol A diallyl ether involve first adding bisphenol A and an alkali to a solvent for a reaction to form a bisphenol A salt, and then adding an allyl halide for an etherification reaction to obtain the product. This requires the use of an additional solvent. The recovery and treatment of the solvent not only increase costs, but also most of the solvents used are harmful to the environment. In the existing technology, ethanol is used as a solvent, and bisphenol A, sodium hydroxide, and allyl chloride are used as raw materials to synthesize bisphenol A diallyl ether. Although the use of ethanol as a solvent in this method by Chemicalbook is relatively environmentally friendly, water is generated during the reaction, making it difficult to reuse ethanol. Moreover, excessive allyl chloride will react with ethanol to form allyl ethyl ether. The product synthesized by this method has a relatively deep color, and it needs to be washed with toluene and adsorbed with activated carbon to obtain a qualified product, which invisibly increases the amount of solvent used. In another existing technology, toluene and diallyl ether are used as solvents, and allyl alcohol reacts with bisphenol A under the condition of a catalyst to obtain bisphenol A diallyl ether. This method generates many by - products and has a very low yield.
