Usage
Ethyl ascorbic acid is a highly useful vitamin C derivative. It is not only chemically very stable, being a non-discoloring vitamin C derivative, but also a amphiphilic substance with both lipophilic and hydrophilic properties, which significantly broadens its scope of application, especially in daily-use chemicals. 3-O-Ethyl ascorbic acid ether can easily penetrate the stratum corneum and reach the dermis. Once it enters the body, it is readily decomposed by biological enzymes in the body, thus exerting the biological functions of vitamin C.
Ethyl ascorbic acid (VC ethyl ether) is an amphiphilic vitamin C derivative that is both lipophilic and hydrophilic. It not only retains the redox function of vitamin C but is also highly stable. It is a non-discoloring vitamin C derivative. Moreover, being an amphiphilic substance, it is extremely convenient to use in formulations. What's more, it can more easily penetrate the stratum corneum and enter the dermis. Once it enters the skin, it is readily decomposed by biological enzymes to exert the functions of vitamin C, thus enhancing its bioavailability.
3-O-Ethyl ascorbic acid ether (ethyl ascorbic acid) is a substance that is soluble in both oil and water. This allows formulators to add it to either the oil phase or the water phase, and it can also be added at high or low temperatures, making it very convenient to use. More importantly, this amphiphilic property enables it to penetrate the stratum corneum more easily and enter the dermis, thus exerting its biological effects, which is not achievable for other vitamin C derivatives.
